UPDATE #3: This story FINALLY hit a wire service. UPI is carrying the story. Why do we have to cut up to get any attention? I sent them a concerned letter almost two months ago.
UPDATE #2: I forgot to give y'all D.L. Hughley's response. He clearly is a student of the Russell Simmons School of Obfuscation and Redirection:
"I believe that freedom of speech is a zero-sum proposition. Too many times I have watched clowns like these pretend to speak for the masses. I can only speak for me," Hughley said in a statement released to the media. "Isn't there a child you can help teach to read, a war to help stop, an unjustly accused man you can help out of jail? I will not apologize for telling a joke about the world as I see it."
DLHUGHLEY Responds to Boycott
UPDATE: Man Eddie moved fast. Y'all Eddie's boycott has made the news in Dallas. Y'all drop by Eddie's blog and thank him for taking this to the next level. They even got a link to the YouTube Clip on the news site. This could be the beginning of the next wave. Note to Rev. Sharpton, THIS IS HOW YOU MAKE A STATEMENT! Now those of you in Nevada and New York have a template on how to spread the word on this foolishness. I'm about to cry. OMG!
Just when I thought the world was asleep about DL's mean spirited and ignorant comments about the women of Rutgers, one of my posters pointed out that there is currently a boycott underway in north Texas where DL is scheduled to perform. It is not enough that you refuse to buy tickets, but you have to let the news media in your community
know what he has said as he comes to town for his comedy tour.

Quite frankly, I was tired of talking about DL Hughley and Akon, but Eddie has given me a new wind. This is a marathon folks, not a sprint
DL will be at Carolines in NYC July 13th-15 and at the MontBleu Resort Casino & Spa Lake Tahoe, NV on August 4th. I am going to look up African American organizations in Reno and Lake Tahoe and send them an e-mail. I'll give y'all the contact info when I find some. Many people tell me that they had NO IDEA he had made these comments so we have to let others know what he said. E-mail the video to them!
