Sister Please!: Lauren London - Ignorance Personified

Continuing on our theme over the past few weeks of Black women behaving badly. Sorry folks, but the hits keep coming.

This time courtesy of Lauren London.

I love guys who are street. I won’t even give soft guys a chance. Menace II Society is my shit! Caine was like my first crush. Actually, O-Dog was my true dream guy. I was in love with him, from that opening scene where he pops the convenience-store worker. He had me from that gunshot [laughs]. He was ’hood, and I loved that. Sandra Rose
And miles to go before I sleep. Miles to go...So shooting someone in the head is attractive? You know that Caine dies at the end of the movie right? Ignorance Personified. So what is being produced to combat the likes of Lauren London? If Menace II Society is what she wants her mate to model himself after, which movies offer the other alternative?

So of course because demonizing Black women and blaming us for all that is wrong in the world is par for the course, somehow Ms. London's Ignorance has been imputed on all of us and we have been blamed for being witches and enchantresses who force Black men to break the law and commit murder. Who knew Black women had such power? I mean if we had mind control, surely we'd use it for something far more important.

As ticked off as I am at Lauren London spreading her ignorance with the masses, I do not accept the idiotic argument that Black women who love thugs drive men to engage in crime and violence as has been suggested by critics of Lauren London (Sgt. Willie Pete). Don't try to paint all Black women with the same brush because black men would be the first to howl at the moon if we tried to say that they were all like the characters in Menace II Society. All Black people, men and women ought to be rising up against the entertainment industrial complex. This tiny group of people in LA and New York get to dictate the narrow range of Black humanity that gets displayed to the world and the slice they choose to show got scrapped from the bottom of the barrel.

Ignorance knows no gender and Lauren London's is being used as a strawwoman to unlease a flurry of Black woman hatred over at Satan's Playground, YouTube:

What happens if a black man like myself
1. Have a job
2. Have 3 college degrees and working towards a PH.D
3. Have no kids
4. Have a nice car
5. have his own place
5. have a vision for his future
answer 0% chance in attracting a black woman! conqueror2001

I would not be surprise if the figures show 80% of black women single in the nxt 10 years. The African American female mentality is f#@ked up, ever from since Slavery, black women do not value the greatness of good EDUCATED black men, if they did, why is the black community so fucked up? Yet they are the Rock the foundation. So if they dating thugs and call educated black men losers, so what the f#@k is she? a princes a Queen right? Type in @ss shakin on youtube, tell me how many Queens you see. NYTHUG11226

That's why i don't even f#@k with black women anymore. Damn near every black female I come in contact with has that same damn mindset. I know all you are going to hate but this man is speaking the truth. Get a white girl like Tiger Woods or 75% of the n#@gas in the NFL.iramaj

Yep. YouTube is still the Devil.

Ignorance Personified: Gabrielle Union Thinks Black Bloggers Need to be More Like Perez Hilton

It has been a rough year for the members of the Black Elite Establishment. All of a sudden they've discovered these pesky little things called blogs GASP and their whole world has been turned upside down.

First we had DL Hughley wonder about “that lady and her email page.” (that would be moi-he is so “special”). Then we had Michael “Baby Oil” Baisden slander all the “folks online” who were working tirelessly to help out the ungrateful 6. Then Stephen A Smith ranted that bloggers aren't entitled to their audiences and shouldn't have the right to speak to people. Yes he did!

Now our latest member of the Black Elite Establishment to go ballistic over the fact that Black folks have access to computers and the internet is actress Gabrielle Union and she's launched a repeated broad based attack on “Black bloggers.” She does not bother to differentiate between one Black blog versus another, but she lumps all Black blogs together, savages them and then to add insult to injury, she holds up PEREZ HILTON, the man who routinely draws penises and semen on photographs of celebrities and called Serena Williams a man, as an example of how we should be blogging.

If you look at what Perez [Hilton] does - and I don't advocate for Perez, you know, he can write hurtful things about a lot of people - but what he does as a man of color, as a Latino, is he never dogs Latinos, ever. He actually breaks artists on his website. They can go from "Who the hell is that?" to Number One on iTunes in a day, just from what he says. So he's trying to uplift his own people. I mean, he dogs everybody else, but as a man of color, I applaud you. I can't dog you for not dogging your own people. He never says anything negative about Latinos, ever, and I just wish that we had more of that kind of "raise up" mentality and pulled each other up instead of dragging each other down. Especially like... If I got arrested, say whatever you want to say. If I had kids and left them in the car while I partied, or I got out of cabs showing all my private parts, you have every right to dog me. If I came out and dogged my own people, kill me in your blogs. But don't make things up! I do enough, and if you really got spies everywhere you'd know what I was doing, you wouldn't have to make things up. And if you don't know your facts, then just don't print them. Urban Hoopla.Com

You see folks, members of the BEE are not necessarily the most intellectually curious people on the planet earth so I can forgive Gabrielle's original complaint in ESSENCE's December issue, but this latest VIBE interview is ridiculous and somebody needs to grab ya' girl by the collar.

You see there are well over 7 million blogs on technorati alone. The Black Weblog Awards got over 6,000 entries last year so when you attack “Black bloggers” or try to chastise ALL BLACK BLOGS by holding up Perez Hilton as some type of standard its ridiculous. Are some Black entertainment blogs vicious and hateful, yes. Guess what, I don't go to those. Are some unreliable and untrustworthy, yes. Guess what, people start to notice and they lose credibility, but there are some really creative Black entertainment blogs out there as well.

What was happening is that Gabrielle wants Perez to cover her more on his blog because the last time Gabrielle was on Perez Hilton was???? Exactly, but these Black entertainment blogs have promoted Gabrielle's projects over and over again. Not only that, but some of the biggest Black blogs are run by very young entrepreneurial African American woman. So I am trying to figure out what Gabbi is trying to say.

Now I have about 6 Black entertainment blogs that I skim everyday because A) some of them are hysterical and B) I have gotten tons of material from them. I want to say I first saw the DL Hughley YouTube clip on one of the Black entertainment blogs. Most of my YouTube clips from from black entertainment blogs. Anyway, I have seen some of the things they have written in the past about Gabrielle Union and other than speculating that she is dating every man she's in a picture with, they've been relatively kind, even laudatory to Gabrielle Union. Now if she was Karrine Stepphens, Remi Ma, Lil' Kim, Ashford and Simpson, Usher and Tameka Raymond or Norwood Young, I could understand her whining and complaining, but saying she is dating X,Y,Z? Come on.

Needless to say, the Black entertainment blogs are not happy and she is about to get it! Or worse, she will get nothing at all. These blogs can stand toe to toe with Perez Hilton when it comes to page views. Imagine if they decide to not mention her at all?

Here is a heads up to the BEE, Black bloggers ain't going anywhere. If anything, they are growing at an exponential pace. I don't even watch TV anymore. I just read my news online. Get used to it and please if you are going to whine about BLOGGERS, be more specific. The Black blogosphere is not a monolith.

To those who say I shouldn't criticize Gabrielle Union. My response is that she should stop using her megaphone to defame all Bloggers. What is the point? What's her agenda? Perez Hilton morally superior to Black bloggers? Are you serious? These magazines which keep asking her about Black bloggers are no better, they are terrified that Black entertainment blogs are going to over take them... too late, they already have. The advertisers just haven't figure it out yet.

BEE's agenda is to try to staunch the growth of the Black blogosphere-She's trying to sweep up sand at the beach. - Futile.

So I am guessing Gabrielle won't be attending the Blogging While Brown Conference in Atlanta next year? Maybe we should invite Perez.

Ignorance Personified: Lil' Wayne Boasts That He Will "Murder Your Children"

A friend recently told me that all children dream. Children will dream whether you love them or not. You can hug them or beat them - Children will dream. Feed them or starve them-Children will dream. But who tells them what to dream? In a lot of cases, pop culture tells them what to dream. A whole lot of y'all dreamed of prince charming because Disney told y'all to. The problem is what do you do when the folks who are telling your kids what to dream are sociopaths? Our latest "Ignorance Personified " entry goes to Lil' Wayne for saying this:

If you are talking about rap and beef, I'm the wrong person to talk to. I am from New Orleans. Cut your televisions on. You know where I'm from. I'm from the murder capital, ma.

Beef is a different thing there. I have four teardrops on my face and I have to look my mom in her eye every day. I can't lie to her. F*ck what they think and f*ck what the world thinks, we real. My mom is real. The first day I got a teardrop I lied. I called her and asked her can I get a teardrop tattoo, but I had already got it." She said, "When you get it, come by me so I can see how you look with it, cause I was thinking about getting one my f*ckin' self."

"We don't play. No, I'm not gonna rap about you man, I will murder you, your family, your child, a newborn, I don't give a f*ck. I could never go to hell cause I'ma take over, b*tch. Hat Tip to Media Take Out.

Sweet dreams. And please spare me the "Its up to parents to tell their children what to dream" foolishness. It might be up to them, but they ain't the ones who are doing it. This is so not funny in light of Alexis Goggins, Daniyah Jackson, and Ebony Dorsey.

Foolishness Personified: Will Somebody Please Call Tyler Perry or Shonda Rhimes and Ask Them to Give Elise Neal a J-O-B

I am never shocked by King Magazine, they are being consistent with business plan which is to make money off the "BACKS" of Black women. Lost cause. But watching the decline of Elise Neal is just plain painful. I liked her characters on the "Hughleys" and on "All of Us". Y'all remember her from "Rosewood"? So when I saw THIS PHOTO over at BOSSIP, it just made me sad. (no I ain't pasting that picture on THIS site. Go over to Bossip to behold the foolishness.) I think this one of her taped to a chair like a kidnapping victim is just down right disturbing? Who come up with this and why would you want to play a role in this disturbed photo director's foolishness?

What would possess her to let them throw her in a bikini, slather her in baby oil and tie her up like a slave? Harriet Tubman and Sojourner Truth are just ticked off right about now. Unlike some folks who really can't act, Elise actually CAN, but she's intent on becoming the Black Elizabeth Berkley.

Elise walk towards the light sister. It still isn't too late, but if the rumors are true that you plan to play Superhead in the movie remake of "Confessions of a Video Vixen," you may be too far gone. Think "Show Girls" think "Glitter" - Career Killers.

"Paging Shonda Rhimes! Paging Shonda Rhimes! Elise Neal needs a J-O-B. Please hire her before she turns into Elizabeth Berkley"

Walk. Towards. The. Light! Money cannot be THIS tight!

Damon Wayans - Says Imus Was Right to Call Black Women Nappy-headed Ho's

Thanks to AJ over at Over Analyze It for the heads up. Daymon Wayans stepped and fetched it over to The View and when the subject of Imus came up, he said the following:

[Y}ou know what? When he called them nappy-headed ho's, I went, 'Wow, he's right!' " SOURCE
You can see the video here. He didn't stop there either:
"Black people at home are laughing right now," he said. "White people are going, 'That's not right!' It's all cultural." SOURCE
Just like DL Hughley, the message is clear, you can call Black women out of their names, it's okay because "look, I'm a black man and I think they are nappy headed hoes too!"

Does he have a show out now? Ha. HA. Hell.

"Dog" the Bounty Hunter, Nas, and Dorinda Clark to Do "N-word" Laden Trio

Last week I announced that Nas who plans to release an album called "N*gga" planned to add a track including dog the Bounty Hunter's rant to his son where Dog dropped a flurry of N-bombs. Well now Nas has decided to open up the duet and make it a trio featuring famed gospel legend Dorinda Clark

I Loves me some Clark Sisters something awful, especially Dorinda so I was like Florida Evans breaking china when I saw this over at Character Corner ( Damn! Damn! Damn!):

Okay, one of my favorite Gospel singers got a bit carried away while she was preaching. In the above youtube clip, Evangelist Dorinda Clark let us know that she is not going to let any "Niggas" separate her from the love of God. Character Corner

Not you too Dorinda. say it ain't so. I listen to "Blessed and Highly Favored" on the regla' "Is My Living in Vain", oh and my jam "Nothing to Lose." Why Lord? WHYYYYYYY? * Gina throws herself on the floor* WHYYYYYY? This just cuts to the bone marrow.

This is another production of Ringo4Life a YouTube phenom who has previous put out scathing video critiques of Profit-ess Juanita Bynum. He is wrong for remixing this sermon. For the record, BlkSeeGoat forwarded this to Character Corner.

I prefer to remember Dorinda Dorinda's previous sermons such as this jewel from 1982. Can't nobody touch the Clark Sisters. We should have seen this coming back in 82 since he simulated smoking marijuana in this sermon before they started singing.

*Hands out an honorable mention to Dorinda Clark for this month's WAOD 'Waggin Finger of Shame Award'* I still love the Clark Sisters though.

Manchild Levell Crump Continues his "Ignorance Personified" Tour- Male Hip Hop Artists STILL Obsessed with Oprah

Manchild Levell Crump a.k.a David Banner has been able to parlay his 15 minutes of fame following his appearance at the congressional hearing on September 25, 2007 into 16 minutes. Unfortunately it appears his publicity stunt is working. Fortunately for us, his delusional rantings runneth over so we have a veritable cornucopia of foolishness from whence to draw new material. Rolling Stone has the entire list of Banner's top five complaints ( As if we care). If he is going to be Hip Hop's latest defender, I say let him keep talking. He's taking them right over a cliff.

Come on, Oprah. You’re from Mississippi, girl. I don’t mind what you do as a black leader, but if you’re not going to take up for black people, then don’t criticize them. You don’t have to talk about us — stick to your books. When you talked about us, you didn’t put T.I., Nelly and Snoop on there. You put Common on there, and Common don’t call women bitches and ho’s, so you’re not talking about him, so he shouldn’t have to defend something he does not do. But if you notice, that same week, she had a birthday party, and they showed her shaking her ass to 50 Cent. So we talk about positive music, but American people don’t buy it. I want you to go buy Talib Kweli. Go buy it! Please do! I don’t care what kind of rap you buy, just by rap music. As long as we leave rap here for another generation, I don’t care what kind of rap it is gangsta , international rap, Russian rap, country and western rap, I don’t give a shit. But the thing is, we are hypocrites. We say we want this, but we really want the WWF. We really want Sex and the City.” Manchild Crump Speaking to Rolling Stone. Hat Tip to Crunk & Disorderly

Do y'all wonder why all these hip hop artists are obsessed with Oprah? Like any good misogynist, they can't stand the idea of a woman not being their foot stool. Just her existence threatens them. Their manhood is so precarious that the fact that Oprah breathes air unsettles them. They can't control her so of course they want to try to insult her.

I mean other than TWO shows about the hip hop industry's obsession with denigrating Black women in over twenty years of the Oprah show, what did Oprah EVER do to hip hop. If anything Black women could be more upset that she hasn't said more.

So the message is clear, wimmin' folk need to cowtow to these menchildren or they'll throw temper tantrums in the press.

I know Oprah could care less what some washed up one-hit-wonder has to say, but really we ought not let this foolishness go unchallenged. They are counting on people not responding and when we do respond, they'll whine that we didn't take them aside an speak to them first as Manchild Crump continues to pout about on those rare occasions when MSM deigns to give him a soap box.
